Design and build a rooftop PV solar system to offset the Hazlet, New Jersey Costco’s annual electricity costs and help the retail marketer achieve its energy production goals, while maximizing use of available roof space. Costco’s Hazlet, New Jersey retail facility is one of twelve Costco retail warehouses serving the state.

SPI worked closely with Costco to design and install a 529kW AC system at Costco’s Hazlet, New Jersey retail store. The Costco system would utilize 3,300 173-watt panels and a 500kW inverter.

| Results |
| The Costco system was completed on schedule and is now serving a major portion of the retail warehouse’s daily electrical needs. SPI was awarded first place for the quality and innovation of the system’s design and installation in the 2010 Excellence in Renewable Energy awards in the Renewable Energy World Network awards competition. |
